Johnny Appleseed Celebration

Apple Investigation and apple tasting party.

Get the Egg by Alyssa Satin Capucilli

We made edible bird's nests to kick off our story, Get the Egg!
Bird nest recipe:
1 bag of chocolate chips
1 bag of butterscotch chips
(Calls for peanut butter but we needed to avoid a nut allergy so I substitute it with chocolate chips)
1 bag of chow mein noodles

First, melt Chocolate chips in the crockpot then add in butterscotch chips. As soon as the butterscotch chips have melted add chow mein noodles. Stir until coated well. Drop a spoonful onto Parchment paper. Top with marshmallows for eggs. Enjoy!

Our new playground rocks!!!

The kiddos were so excited to get our new playground equipment. Thank you so much to eveyone who made this possible.

Booster!!!

During booster this week we are practicing reading with our accountability partners. AP's are a huge help in learning and growing as a student.

Pig in a Wig

This week we read Pug in a Wig. Several little piggies decide to join us on this day.

Popsicles on Fun Friday

Fun Friday is a weekly celebration for all the kids who had good colors all week.

Cademan was the 1st to make it to the Wall Of Fame

Cade did an awesome job with outstanding behavior. He earned 5 blings (off the chart 5 times) which secured him the first spot on the Wall of Fame. There are several others on their way!

Paint and Popcorn Party

We had our first Fun Friday celebration. The kiddos ate popcorn and painted beautiful masterpieces.

Compound Word Day

Students were encouraged to wear as many compound words as they could. We had some creative combinations!  Too cute!!!
Bathrobe
Necktie
Pocketbook
Shoestring
Overalls
Sunglasses
Spiderman shirt
A shirt that had over 50 compound words written on it

We played a compound word game. Each child was given a word to wear on their headband. They had find a friend who's word matched their word. Blue + bird = bluebird. Students had a matching sheet to pair up all the words. This is a great way to practice spelling compound words.
